What misting nozzle size should I choose for my kind of misting system?

For any misting system, one of the most important factors to be considered to aid active cooling is the nozzle sizing. For instance, using a patio system as a case study, irrespective of the degree of hotness of your days or you reside in a humid or dry area, if the misting nozzles are hung at 8 or 12 feet high coupled with how far apart they are spaced from each other on the misting lines would determine the perfect size to selected.

How do you best clean your misting nozzles?

As an owner of a misting system, you become surprised because after filtering your water as possible as you can, your misting nozzle still clogs. It is as a result of debris or hard water deposits in your misting system. Then, ways on how to clean a misting nozzle become another scary question you begin to ask yourself. Detaching the nozzle from the system, gently hitting against a solid surface and rinsing can do the trick, for debris clog especially. It doesn’t work in the removal of hard water deposit. To remove that, do the following;

  • Detach the clogged nozzle from the system.
  • Get the O-ring off the misting nozzle.
  • Get the clogged misting nozzle(s) soaked in white vinegar or CLR for a minimum of an hour.
  • Use fresh water to rinse the misting nozzle, flush the misting lines and mount back the misting nozzle into the misting system.
  • If it’s been long since you last replaced your misting system filter, it should probably be replaced.

If after trying all these and your misting nozzle still fails to work, consider replacing the misting nozzle then. Newly invented misting systems now come along with a different variety of misting nozzles. Here, the standard misting nozzle we recommend for installation is a 12/24 (0.008-Inch).
